The Pie Crust Project

 

I've decided that all new things will be called "The X Project" - hence, "The Pie Crust Project."

 

Above is a cherry pie I made for an early St. Patrick's day dinner. the crust is St. Bittman's made in a Cuisinart. I added some candied orange peel, and it was delicious.

Below is another cherry pie, by my "student" Helen, made with St. Martha's pate brisee crust, made with a pastry cutter.


Not pictured is a spiced pear and current pie that I made as the magical "finished" version of the pies we were making.  Extremely tasty, and my first pear pie.
