Someone has a birthday tomorrow. I have a cake planned, but that's about it.
No gifts, no special dinner (though that could happen easily). Even the dog can just go over and say, "Hey, here's my ears, scratch them, that's your gift." I need to think of a gift.
Mr. Pubby is not so good at saying what he wants for a birthday gift. or maybe I need to listen better. I've already told him I want a refrigerator and dishwasher for my birthday.

This may be my inner de-clutterer speaking, but I'm a big fan of giving verbs rather than nouns. Going to a sporting event, concert, nice restaurant, traveling, a cool experience, classes to learn something he's always been interested in....

I agree with Helen. I was going to suggest tickets to a Phils game. Unless there's something that he really, really, really needs or wants, I'd go for an experience/quality time together instead.
